Why wait until May to do something about oil prices?

Let me tell you all it takes to make oil prices plummet: SAY "We're going to open ANWR" - just SAY it.  All of a sudden the Saudis drop their prices, Mexico squeals like a stuck pig and the consumer at the pump doesn't feel it so badly because everyone decides to be reasonable.

However, the Kenyan in Chief has already stated in the past that his goal was to drive things up and bankrupt coal mines and doesn't mind $9/gallon gas....while pretending to be a friend of the POOR?
