The US presidential campaign has turned serious. Barack Obama has started to do his own twitting on Twitter. His aids did it for him in the past.
There has always been a nasty whiff surrounding the Afghan government; the odor of corruption. President Hamid Karzai confirmed a few days ago that his government and the US have been talking to the Taliban. He also claims that his security forces can cope with the announced drawdown of US troops.
