At least 10 people are reported killed and eight wounded in a suicide and gun attack, on a hotel in the Afghan capital Kabul. Reports say militants wearing civilian clothes burst into the Intercontinental while guests were having dinner. At least one militant blew himself up and several others took positions on the roof, after a shootout with police. The four hour standoff was ended by an airstrike from a NATO helicopter. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
