Sunday Musings: Kids and Christmas

Life is sweet. We do have to slow down a bit to enjoy some things.

Yesterday my kids were SOOOOO excited to get a Christmas tree - we set it up after church today. The guy at the tree lot asks "Which one do you want?" My six year old son from the other side yells "THIS OOOOONNNNNE!" We ended up going to Fred Meyer and I basically grabbed the first one I saw that was bushy and cheap.

Our children and holidays can be a joy to us - if we let it. I always remember, the laundry piles and messy dishes will one day be gone and depending on what we did we will only be left with memories at some point. All of this time will pass by so quick if we don't take advantage of it.

Meanwhile the tree is up, I cooked dinner and baked brownies and dished out eggnog and cider and my wife is resting and now I need a break from the kids. Just a little one.
