On Gays In The Military: Study & Conclusions Flawed Still

I've commented earlier in my blog on how the military gay ban study was flawed because the survey was completed by those who wanted to return their votes - it wasn't a random sample. Those returned depended on those mailing them not being afraid of retribution.

But beyond that - the other issue is this: 70% said in the survey that they were okay with gays in the military.

Fine.  Lets take that statistic and the wording and look at it further:

You have 30% who are not fine with it.

Lets just round that up for ease of numbers to 33%.

ONE THIRD of your military is NOT fine with it.

Now - the libs are handling the military like it's a democracy - 50.01% and you get your way.

Not so fast.  Can our military handle 1/3 of its operations being disrupted?

Now lets look at this further.  1/3 of those who oppose are not in a single separate set of operations - i.e. you don't have the "homophobe brigade" separate all by its self (btw - the heterosexual flag is a checkered flag if you didn't know - I live in Portland - you learn that stuff just living here - oh and for what its worth Portland got rated as THE most convenient airport in the US and most polite - IM TELLIN YA! Nice place - hate the politics - but that's another entry).

So - rather than you having just 1/3 of your military units being disrupted - you instead at worst potentially have 100% of your units being disrupted because you could have one out of every three military servicemen not-okay with it.  Lets say they aren't spread out that way and that it is confined and scattered to certain units.  Seeings how you need your entire military, if one unit isn't effected, another will be, so the units not effected will be impacted by those that are.  You can't escape it.  So instead of it being a democracy where "this is what we do now" - you just destroyed your entire military's operational readiness and effectiveness.

Lastly on the survey I'm curious to know if the survey asked if they WANTED the homos to be OPENLY serving - as in two gay marines french kissing each other at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and sucking the slime off each others' tonsils while they massage each others' esophagus with their gay tongues and go deeper than a submariner.

And my final thought is, why is it that gays are so insistent that everyone know their orientation?  Why do I need to know you're gay?  Why is it so important for you to know that I know?  The Freudian Psyche in all this just screams of dysfunctionality.  Some things just aren't appropriate.  And if you say "it doesn't really matter, let them go down on each other, it won't affect anything" then why does it affect anything if they don't?

The logic is flawed.  The survey is flawed.  The hypothesis is flawed.  The whole thing is flawed.
