There are actually other people in this world besides us with different viewpoints, cultural heritages, languages, backgrounds, origins, beliefs and thoughts.
I mean, there ARE worse things in this world than just verbage. I'm becoming a psychologist, and I used to be a police officer. You *CANT* do either of those jobs if you are so hung up on words and can't focus on the facts - like the facts of the circumstances or the fact that other people might see things differently or say them differently.
The notion that I am responsible for other peoples' feelings through the use of my words, and that it is my responsibility to comfort and assuage their insecurities and cultural inabilities is just too much responsibility for me. So, for those who wish to avoid critically wounding the sensitive feelings of others, I've put together a small list of some politically correct terminology.
